The Ku Mincho™ R is the new generation of Chinese Ming-Ti design.
We spent a lot of effort on optimising the performance of Ming-Ti Hanzi at 9.5pt, a roughly 4mm*4mm physically-printed surface, to balance the aesthetic of Hanzi as well as reading rhythm. For vertical settings the Hanzis are well-benefited by the air-flow like rhythm weaved by natural flowing of strokes, while in horizontal settings, Ku Mincho look well-balanced and stable, making it a mix of traditional and modern aesthetic, this is the meaning 'Ku'.
The same aesthetic could be applied to Subheading and headlines as well, showing criss-crossed crisp and rounded design features. The Ku Mincho™ R opens totally new possibilities for Chinese fonts.
