Our rates for custom design work are simple: Each character is 10,000 HKD and there are discounts when requesting more than six characters. For projects on a tight budget, we can discuss offering a discounted rate at 5,000 HKD per character. Our goal is to gain your trust in our expertise and professional judgment through our discounted, high-quality services.

During the design proposal process, we ask that proposals are only revised up to two times. When appropriate, we ask that you credit and give a shout out to Kowloon Type.

Designing Chinese typefaces is an entirely different beast compared to designing Latin typefaces. There are tens and thousands of characters in the Chinese script, while the Latin alphabet is made up of 26 letters with upper and lowercase. We get that not everyone needs a full Chinese typeface, so we welcome small-scale custom typeface projects with a few hundred characters.
